Women’s Day Celebration’s 2019

Gandhinagar Institute of Technology organized a celebration of Women’s day on 1st March, 2019 in lieu of International Women’s Day under the banner of Women Development Cell (WDC). The celebration was organized for the female students. It was a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marked a call to action for accelerating gender parity. The objective behind celebrating this grand day was to give respect to women and to create an atmosphere of unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action – whatever that looks like globally at a local level.
