Online expert lecture on Smart Grid Recent Trends, Applications & Technologies

An online expert lecture on “Smart Grid- Recent Trends, Applications & Technologies” was held in the Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering Department of Gandhinagar Institute of Technology on 23rd February, 2022. The session was organized for 6th Semester EE and EC students. Total 55 students along with 8 faculty members had attended the session out of which 40 students were from the Electrical Engineering Department and 15 students were from the Electronics & Communication Engineering Department. This workshop was coordinated by Prof. Rahish Silavat, Asst. Professor of Electrical Engineering Department.This online expert lecture on “Smart Grid- Recent Trends, Applications & Technologies” was delivered by Prof. Jignesh G Bhatt, Associate Professor at Dharmsinh Desai University, Nadiad.The main objective of this expert lecture was to give an idea about fundamentals and working of Smart Grid as well as provide a brief overview of the present scenario of Electrical Energy, types of different grid system as well as innovative ways for connecting electrical grid with the system. The session was highly interactive and participants actively interacted with the expert. The session was very interesting and successfully met the objectives for which it was planned and organized.
