Authors Policies:

General:

• GU - Journal of Engineering and Technology aims principally at publishing papers/articles resulting from original research whether pure or applied of disciplines broadly classified as Engineering and Technology. The primary criteria will be that these articles/papers contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the respective fields of Science and Technology.
• Papers submitted to other publishing agencies will not be accepted. However manuscripts published in un-refereed magazines, proceedings etc. may be accepted subject to satisfying the requirements for publishing in the GU - JET. The journal will publish peer-reviewed full length research papers and review articles under broad category of above mentioned fields.

Author’s Undertaking Policy:

• All the authors (not more than five authors allowed per paper) are required to sign in the Undertaking Form.
• In case, if all authors cannot send undertaking, main author may sign on his/her behalf taking the responsibility. But it is compulsory to mention names of all the authors of the concern papers.
• After filling the forms author/s required to scan and send back through email to gu-jet@gandhinagaruni.ac.in
• No addition/deletion/or any change in the sequence of the authorship will be permissible at a later stage, without valid reasons and permission of the Editor.
• All substantial changes in authorship (additions, removals, or change of order) requested after first submission must be approved by the Chief Editor. Changes must be requested by the corresponding author and sent to the Chief Editor. The Chief Editor reserves the right to accept the request, reject the request, withdraw the manuscript from consideration/publication, or retract a published article based on the nature and extent of the circumstances related to the request.
• All decisions by the Chief Editor in these matters are final. If the authorship is contested at any stage, the article will be either returned or will not be processed for publication till the issue is solved.

Plagiarism Policy:

• Acts of plagiarism are violations of Ethical Statement and will not be tolerated. Cases of suspected misconduct will be investigated by editors according to best practices of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). If a malpractice is documented, even after the article is published, the article may be retracted, and authors may be banned from submitting additional manuscripts forever .
• The Manuscripts in full are carefully screened for plagiarism before and during publication, and if there is found any objectionable content within the texts then they will be rejected at any stage of processing.
• Therefore, all concern is requested to follow these plagiarism rules of Journal. And before manuscript submission please check the whole content using online plagiarism detector / checker. Authors should provide plagiarism report of submitted manuscript.
• The manuscript should have less than 10% plagiarism contents.

Open Access Policy:

• This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.Authors are encouraged to disseminate their articles.

Copyright and Licensing:

• Copyrights of articles published in the GU-JET journal are held by the authors.
• Authors grant GU-JET the license to publish the material as the original publisher. The articles are published under the Creative Commons License (CC BY 4.0, https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/), only allowing anyone to download and share the contents with others, as long as the original source is properly cited.
• This journal permits and encourages authors to post items submitted to the journal on personal websites or institutional repositories both prior to and after publication, while providing bibliographic details that credit, if applicable, its publication in this journal..

Editorial Policy:

• GU-JET encourages potential authors to submit original and innovative articles (within journal aims and scope) for evaluation in a "Blind Peer Review" process. Manuscripts may be submitted free of charge through the online submission platform and cannot be evaluated by any other publication. When submitting a manuscript, authors assume that the contents are not copyrighted by any other publication.
• Initially, submitted manuscripts are analysed by the Editors. After passing this initial check, manuscripts are sent to external expert reviewers for a full and rigorous review. Editors have complete responsibility and authority to accept or reject a manuscript. In addition, Editors should guarantee the confidentiality of the submitted work, the anonymity of the reviewers and the rigorous implementation of the "Blind Peer Review" process. Editors should have no conflict of interest concerning the manuscript. If errors are found, correction procedures will be followed to eliminate these errors.
• Depending on the number of reviews and respective analysis and response by the authors, submission to publication is expected to be completed within 3-5 months.
