A Report on Pre-Celebration of International Women’s Day 2023

Women Development Cell of Gandhinagar University, managed by platinum foundation, pre-celebrated international women’s day on 3 rd , 6 th and 7 th March 2023. The motto of the celebration was to motivate female students and empower them for her and society’s betterment A painting competition was organized on 3 rd March 2023 where the female participants represented womanhood in the form of different portraits and the winners were given the chance to do the same wall painting on 6 th March 2023. An expert session on "Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace" was also organized on 7 th March 2023, for all the female faculty members, female staff, and students to make them aware about Sexual harassment. All the female staff and students got very useful insights from the session given by the Dr. Jharna Pathak – Secretary, Ahmedabad Women’s Action Group – AWAG. More than 50 Participants from various institutes of Gandhinagar University attended the session. A small token of gift was given to all the female members of the university including Class 4 Female helpers by GU Family. The pre- celebration of IWD 2023 was successfully completed with the support of Trustees, Director Sir, Registrars, WDC coordinators, WDC student coordinators as well as administrative staff. The events were remarkable and fulfilled their purpose of making the girls realize that every day is her day.
