On 26th January 2025, Gandhinagar University celebrated India’s 76th Republic Day with immense pride, powerful emotions, and a deep sense of national duty. As the Tricolor soared high against the clear morning sky, the entire campus united to honor the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and to celebrate the strength, diversity, and unity of our nation. Republic Day is not just a national holiday; it is a day that reminds us of our identity as Indian citizens and the priceless values embedded in our Constitution. Gandhinagar University marked this occasion in a manner that touched hearts and elevated spirits.
The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag, accompanied by the National Anthem sung with pride by students, faculty, staff, and dignitaries. The moment was emotional and inspiring — every eye was on the flag, every voice resonated with patriotism, and every heart was filled with gratitude.

Gandhinagar University was honored to welcome Commandant Devansh Trivedi Sir – Indian Coast Guard, as the Chief Guest. His inspiring address connected strongly with young students — he emphasized discipline, integrity, commitment towards the nation, and the importance of contributing meaningfully to society. His presence added strength and dignity to this historic day.
The University also acknowledges the incredible leadership of our Vice President, Ms. Vinti A Rohera Ma’am, whose vision, passion, and dedication continue to motivate and guide every student and team member on campus. Her message on Republic Day beautifully highlighted the role of youth in shaping India’s future and the need to uphold democratic values through action, innovation, and responsible citizenship.
The celebration included vibrant cultural performances by students who showcased India’s culture through classical dance, patriotic songs, skits on freedom struggles, and traditional music that reminded everyone of our rich heritage. One of the most powerful attractions of the morning was the disciplined march past by GU’s NCC Cadets. Their synchronized steps, sharp commands, and uniformity symbolized discipline, courage, and respect — values that are integral to the spirit of the Indian Armed Forces.
Gandhinagar University expresses heartfelt appreciation to all its students, faculty members, volunteers, cultural coordinators, NCC trainers, and organizing teams for their immense dedication and teamwork. Their effort made the entire celebration smooth, memorable, and impactful.
Republic Day is more than just a ceremony — it is a promise.
A promise to protect the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity that our Constitution gives us.
