“Applications of RS & GIS in Civil Engineering”

Civil Engineering Department, Gandhinagar Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar University managed by Platinum Foundation organized a Workshop on “Applications of RS & GIS in Civil Engineering” under the guidance of Dr H N Shah (Director) on September 3rd, 2022 through Online Platform for Civil Engineering Students & Faculties. Total 58 students and faculty members from the Civil Engineering Department attended the workshop. The Expert Speaker of the workshop was Dr. Mahendrasinh Gadhavi, Assistant Professor, L. D. College of Engineering, explained the importance of GIS and remote sensing techniques which play a crucial role in Civil Engineering. He also explained the applications of GIS by generating landcover map of GIT Campus, on screen digitization, and preparation of mapping output from QGIS Software.
