About Program
Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) is a four-year undergraduate program. The most popular undergraduate course in the area of Commerce is B.Com. Candidates in the B. Com program are taught key topics in commerce and relevant areas. Candidates are also given the option of choosing from a few elective subjects over the three-year period. The curriculum is of six semesters and covers areas such as financial accounting, auditing, business taxation, micro and macro economics, business law, digital application tools, and business management.

Pedagogy:
The B.Com. Program’s pedagogy helps to encourage a student’s holistic growth. The curriculum places a strong emphasis on a student’s overall growth by complementing classroom teaching (using an innovative approach through lectures, group discussions, and presentations) by organising guest lectures and practical demonstrations relevant to gaining an elevated understanding of the subject in relation to its practical environment; thus providing a learning ambience that challenges the student’s mind through competitive education emphasizing on inculcating values, and transforming them into socially responsible managers and business leaders.
Eligibility:
- The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board in India with English and Accountancy subjects.
- Student who has not opted Accountancy as a subject in standard 12 and taken admission into B. Com Course, must submit assignment/complete bridge course of Accountancy subject before completion of First Semester by paying ₹ 2000 as additional fees at Gandhinagar University.
Scope:
- Students who desire to work in commerce, accounting, finance, banking, or insurance should pursue a B. Com degree.
- Students who get a B. Com degree can work in administration, teaching, advertising, law, journalism, mass communication, law, design and other fields.
- Students will be able to get admission in M. Com, MBA, or any other Professional Course like, Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Chartered Financial analyst, Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Certificate in Investment Banking (CIB), Certified Public Accounting (CPA), Certified Financial Panner (CFP), with or after completion of B. Com.
